This is a unique event where you can experience a walking meditation within a labyrinth. Labyrinths are maze-like patterns on the ground used for contemplation or walking meditation (also called mindful walking). Usually they are painted on the ground, bordered by stones, or created by using different coloured cobblestones set into the ground.  In a walking meditation we focus on walking & the sensations of the environment we are walking in. You can go into the labyrinth with an intention or question. Or you can go in simply to discover what comes up during your walking meditation.

This event combines walking outdoors, connecting with other like minded people, socializing and meditation. Walking outdoors, connecting with your community, socializing and meditation has been proven to give great health benefits such as improving mobility, uplifting your mood, reducing stress and loneliness. And what better way to connect with people than to join a walking event?

Come join us for a fun afternoon! There will be some instruction before we start walking in the labyrinth. Then once we reach the middle of the labyrinth there will be a guided meditation and an opportunity to talk about your experience as well as ask any questions you might have. After the guided meditation we will exit the labyrinth mindfully. Those who wish to socialize more can join us for a meal or snack (pay your own way) at a nearby restaurant after the labyrinth walk. Looking forward to seeing you there and connecting with you!
